Whats up everyone! My name is Brendan Bannister aka @sir.brendan on Instagram and I am a photographer with the All Aspects team. I will be posting some of my adventures on the site to share with you all.
For this trip I packed up some friends and headed to Joshua Tree National Park to shoot the milky way during a new moon. Joshua Tree is a great location to see the milky way if you are in SoCal, since it is so far out into the desert you are able to escape the light pollution. Being in the desert it is hot as hell during the day and reached temperatures around 105 and a nice 70-80 at night.
My gear for the trip consisted of:
Canon 5D Mark III
Canon 70-200 F2.8L II (for portraits)
Canon 24mm F1.4L II
MeFoto GlobeTrotter Tripod
Most of my pictures were taken using the 24mm lens at F2.0 with a 20 second exposure and ISO around 1600. To see specifics of each image you can view the EXIF on my Flickr, link at the end of this post.
The rest of the pictures can be seen on my Flickr: https://www.flickr.com/photos/brendanbannister/
